my mate likes the jaquline wilson. she writes the books ‘tracy beaker,’ girls in love & midnight. all of these books have the word, ‘BOG OFF!’ do you think these books are sutible for children?
My children have loved J Wilson books since they were very young. They can relate to them because they describe real life — sometimes a real life they are not familiar with admittedly but that is good education! without being offensive in an adult way.Bog Off is what real children say. My nine year old daughter says she finds it funny. I have never heard her use the expression at home!Whereas Enid Blyton with her innocent children going on adventures and fairies etc as been acccused of being subversively racist, sexist etc.
