Architectural splendours of the Taj Mahal
The unique and remarkable wonder of India was architecturally designed to embody the technical skill of the and planners of the Mughal era. The complete structure of the Taj Mahal presents flawless symmetry and detail. The design of the monument was to give maximum strength.
About 20,000 workmen worked for 20 years at a stretch for the storage of this jewel in the history of India in the coming decades. The duration of operations then you can imagine the fact that more than 1,000 elephants were used to bring raw materials like white marble was brought from Rajasthan, Punjab jasper Tibetan turquoise, sapphires from Sri Lanka and crystal from China. A small town was created for workers called Mumtazabad which has been renamed as Taj Ganj.
The weight of the whole structure was planned and built to be evenly divided and great vaults were used to support the load. The four minarets that surround the central dome tilt slightly outward to avoid falling into the central monument in the event of earthquakes.
This compendium of beauty is in the Yamuna river bed so the water reflects the classic elegance of this monument of love. It extends over an area of about 300 square meters and is on a marble pedestal which is slightly lower from the north end or to the side of the river to the upper side acts as a natural barrier that pushes in the opposite direction.
Taj Mahal is a must-see piece of art that represents an incredible confluence of Hindu and Islamic, Persian and Tibetan style of architecture and design. The most beautiful of the marble carvings known as "pietra dura", calligraphy, flower and vine motifs, inlays of semiprecious stones and precious innate is simply impressive. Each party full sample, but adds the beauty in its entirity to the structure as a whole.
The Taj Mahal has remarkable qualities for many who are so different from other sites, one of them to ever-changing view to changing natural landscape is especially compared with changes in mood a woman. He gets up early in the morning, bright gold in the dazzling midday sun and turns coral at sunset. But arguably looks better on a night full moon.
The enormous main gateway, the char bagh or four gardens with well-planned waterways, or mazjid mosque, the minarets, the mausoleum and the grave or the "all Rauza" impose a beauty harmoniously decorated the monument can not be seen in some parts, is to be worshiped as a whole.
The three-dimensional illusory effects, which rises and the light given by architects using only white marble, lime and bricks is still difficult to be replicated today and let us simply amazed at the colorful artwork.
Although there has always been controversy over the name of the architect of the monument, but main architects were given the credit Ustad Isa of Iran, Mir Abdul Haqim, Amanat Khan, Qazim Khan, among others. The calligrapher was Amanat Ali Shirazi, Ghiyasuddin poet wrote the poems that appear on the tombstone, while Ismail Khan Afridi was built the dome. Mohammad Hanif was the superintendent of Masons.
